What are the responsibilities and job description for the State Park Maintenance Ranger Supervisor position at Skidaway Island State Park?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, consider joining our team! We are looking for a committed individual to become our Maintenance Ranger Supervisor. Maintenance Ranger Supervisors are schedule, assign, and assist with work for their department. You also have the opportunity to assist with park programs and recreational activities! All maintenance roles at the park are expected to have some experience in the following areas: landscaping, light electrical and plumbing work, equipment use, and building maintenance. We offer training and certification opportunities for some of these skills and more! This is a day shift (8 AM to 5 PM), 40 hour a week position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including logic controllers and schematics.
- Fabricate components as needed for repairs or improvements.
- Perform painting and other aesthetic enhancements to maintain facility appearance.
- Supervise maintenance staff during projects, providing leadership and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules with minimal disruption.
- Landscaping.

- Erosion control.
- Herbicide application.
- Various other maintenance tasks for shelters, water systems, roads, and renovations throughout the park and campground.
