Job Description
As a licensed practical nurse graduate, you will be responsible for delivering efficient and effective nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse. You will evaluate patients' conditions, collect data, and report changes in condition. Your contributions to nursing assessments and care planning will help ensure positive clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Evaluate patients/residents to collect data, observe condition, and report changes in condition.
- Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
- Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.
- Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must be a graduate of an approved school for vocational nursing and currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure. Experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required.
