What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance position at Skilcraft?
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair equipment failures in a timely manner
• Manage and perform necessary Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs on equipment
• Control repair parts expenditures
• Manage outside grounds contractor and snow removal (both contractor and internal)
• Maintain existing plant facilities (e.g., HVAC units, lights, restrooms, door security, roof)
• Make suggestions on the need for new equipment or repairs
• Provide leadership, direction, and informal training to other personnel in the maintenance department
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs
• Incorporate shop floor organization in the maintenance department
Required Qualifications
• Training in repair of Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic equipment
• Background in repair of HVAC, Electrical wiring, and general repair
• Experience in repairing controllers on equipment
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Email
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read schematics
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role
• Familiarity with various types of industrial equipment
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations
• Experience in managing contractors and external vendors

Physical Requirements
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
• Reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to communicate verbally
Work Environment
• Indoor environment with moderate noise levels
• Not typically exposed to outdoor weather conditions
• Works around machinery and equipment
• Collaborates closely with team members and external contractors
