Job Description-
Role: The focus of the position will include:
- Accounting Policy; assisting with the Bank’s compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) by assisting with establishing accounting policies and transaction interpretations.
- Accounting Policy; preparation of certain technical accounting journal entries and monthly account reconciliations, including related reporting in our SEC filings, such as the Allowance for Credit Losses.
- SOX; assisting with testing internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)
- Data Management; assisting with the Finance department’s compliance with risk management requirements and best practices over data governance
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, and/or corporate accounting, and/or Internal Audit required
- CPA preferred
- Ability to research & evaluate accounting policies and transactions; working knowledge of GAAP
- Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements, including provisions of Sarbanes-Oxley Act
- Financial reporting skills, including working knowledge of financial statements and reporting requirements
- Ability to analyze and interpret data flow
- Project management skills with the capability to prioritize multiple demands
- Financial services industry knowledge preferred
