About the Organization
Our company was incorporated in 1984 within the State of North Carolina, and opened its doors for business in August of 1985. The company has continually grown to a point where we currently serve more than 600 individuals, and employ more than 1000 people across the state.
Skill Creations is a human services agency that operates three service divisions. The ICF Division provides specialized long-term residential care to 191 individuals with intellectual and / or developmental disabilities in 15 different towns in North Carolina. The Community Operations Division provides residential and non-residential services to persons with intellectual and / or developmental disabilities in their home community. The Child Development Division, with two locations in Goldsboro, provides high quality child care and preschool for children ages birth - 5 years. One center also offers after school care through age 12.

Direct Support Professional - Community Based. Part Time to start with possibility of Full Time Hours
Starting Pay Rate : $16.00 per hour ($16.00 per hour for Backup / PRN positions)
Schedule of Hours : -Times Vary
Looking for Respite as needed and some Part-Time work
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for a variety of duties related to the provision of overall support and care for individuals receiving services from Skill Creations, Inc. Those that Skill Creations Inc. Serves in this capacity are individuals with intellectual and / or developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury and secondary mental health / substance abuse issues. The DSP works in the individual's home and / or in a community setting, providing one-to-one or group care according to the specific needs of the individuals and their plan(s) of care. The Direct Support Professional may assist with personal care, behavioral support, medication administration, job coaching and assistance and / or independent living skills. The Direct Support Professional also provides educational opportunities in the areas of communication and recreation / leisure. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour for Full and Part time ($16.00 per hour for all back up / PRN positions).
