We provide home-based ABA services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders throughout the states of Illinois and Texas. In addition to in-home services, we provide center-based programs throughout Illinois. Our center-based services include; rehab services, mental health services, and tutoring services.
Job Description
Reporting to the Regional Rehab Manager, the Speech Language Pathologist’s role is to provide top quality speech and language treatment and evaluation services to Skill Sprout clients under physician orders. They will also assist in maintaining the quality of outpatient therapy services provided by Skill Sprout LLC, in addition to providing support and consultation for other disciplines within her areas of expertise.
Specific responsibilities include:
Evaluation and Treatment (Billable Rate activities)
• Evaluate and treat clients in need of speech/language services with a variety of diagnoses and delays as needed.
• Up to 2 hours of billable time can be reported for each speech language evaluation including report writing. Reports should be returned to the Clinical Case Coordinator within 1-3 days of completing the evaluation.
• Provide appropriate documentation of all services rendered per the department’s guidelines within the CPT code parameters. Documentation time is included in time allotted for treatment sessions. Submission of documentation for services is required prior to or at the time of submitting the corresponding time sheet.
Consultation (non-billable rate activities)
• Consult with other clinicians and disciplines inside and outside of Skill Sprout to enhance continuity of care for clients as needed
• Consult to administrative staff on best practices and current efficacy based treatment methodologies for speech language pathologists
• Provide additional documentation or education to families as requested and approved by supervisor
• Acts as mentor to speech language pathologists who are new to the field and/or pediatrics within the company
• Collaborate with Director of Rehabilitation for further program development as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned and agreed upon, such as developing and delivering parent trainings, product development, etc.

The Speech Language Pathologist will have the following experience and attributes:
• Minimum of a Masters degree
• Certification and State licensure as Speech Language Pathologist in good standing
• FOR ILLINOIS APPLICANTS: Eligibility for credentialing through the State of Illinois Early Intervention Program
• FOR TEXAS APPLICANTS: Credentialed with Early Childhood Intervention Services
• At least 2 years of experience working with children with autism and/or developmental delays
• Proficient in using technology as communication and reporting tool
• Strong personnel management skills with a high degree of self-initiation
• Experience having worked with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details
• Personal and professional qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for Skill Sprout’s mission
