Job Description

The Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to fill the role of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/Nurse Educator. As a key member of the nursing team, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Director of Nursing to maintain high standards of care. Your leadership skills will be essential in leading staff education and acting as the Infection Control Officer. You will also ensure compliance and foster clear communication with nursing teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with the Director of Nursing to manage and maintain high standards of care
• Leading staff education and acting as the Infection Control Officer
• Ensuring compliance and fostering clear communication with nursing teams
• Meeting the medical and nursing needs of all residents
• Planning and coordinating nursing services across the facility
• Staying current with nursing practices and theory
• Ensuring timely and accurate completion of medical documentation
• Assisting in the hiring, interviewing, and orientation of new nursing staff
• Being adaptable to changing demands and maintaining a flexible schedule as needed

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in New York
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in long-term care
• 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in staff education is a plus
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Willingness to work flexible hours
