The Skilled Nursing Facility in New York is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring high-quality care, and leading weekly assessments of wound care and skin integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing daily nursing operations.
• Lead weekly assessments of wound care and skin integrity.
• Maintain effective communication across all nursing levels and assist in compliance monitoring.
• Ensure that all residents' healthcare needs are met in a timely and comprehensive manner.
• Be available 24/7 for on-call responsibilities.
• Guide and manage the overall nursing service planning and execution.
• Stay updated on best practices and nursing methodologies.
• Guarantee accurate and timely completion of medical documentation and records.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of new nursing staff.
• Supervise and manage staffing processes daily to ensure adequate coverage.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
• Adapt to changing schedules to meet the needs of the facility.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care environments.
• At least 2 years of management experience preferred.
• Experience in staff education and training is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Willingsness to work flexible hours as needed.
