We are currently seeking an experienced, talented Business Office Manager for a skilled nursing facility in Benbrook, TX. This role entails supporting business office operations including billing, trust fund management, financial reporting, application processing, and coordination with the facility management team and corporate office. This role has the potential to grow into a corporate role overseeing multiple facilities.
Job Summary:
The Business Office Manager (BOM) is responsible to bill facility charges to the appropriate payor, collect outstanding Accounts Receivables, and oversee the resident trust fund in accordance with corporate policy and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Attend morning meetings to review discharges, admits, and payor changes.
- Make appropriate payor change information in Accounts Receivable System.
- Make deposits daily.
- Post cash receipts. This includes all Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care and Insurance payments.
- Complete Medicaid 5615s and ULTC100.2s on a timely basis.
- Bill and receive private pay balances.
- If payment is not received, follow-up and initiate the collections process.
- Submit Medicaid charges in accordance with corporate policy.
- Follow up with Medicare claims daily.
- Submit all Managed Care/HMO claims in accordance with corporate policy.
- Good communication, organizational, and computer skills (Excel, Word, PointClickCare, SimpleLTC, etc…).
- Other duties as assigned (primarily reporting related).
Desired Experience (not required):
- Experience billing Medicare, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage, Commercial, VA, and Co-insurance.
- Proficiency billing with PointClickCare.
- Experience with RFMS Trust Fund Management System.
- Proficiency with Word and Excel.
- An inquisitive mind, solid attention to detail, and a willingness to continually learn and adapt as situational requirements change.
- 2 years of BOM experience in a skilled nursing setting.
- Ability to travel on occasion to coach, train, or attend training (approximately once a quarter at most).
