We are seeking a reliable and skilled Millwright to join our warehouse team in Norton Ma. The Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in factories, plants, and other industrial settings. The role requires expertise in assembling, dismantling, troubleshooting, and ensuring the proper functioning of heavy machinery.
Hours are 6:00am -2:30pm Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on warehouse equipment,
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime and disruptions to warehouse operations.
- Have experience with electrical, welding, mill wright and lath.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of all activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Work with the warehouse management team to develop and improve maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a millwright or in a related mechanical trade.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety gear.
- Skilled in welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to work in various warehouse conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
