Job Overview:
As a Certified Welder, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding techniques to join, fabricate and repair metal components. You will be working on a Commercial Project and will be required to adhere to safety guidelines and quality standards. We are extremely strict when it comes to safety – SAFETY MUST come before everything, Safety first!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various welding techniques including arc, MIG, TIG, and spot welding
- MUST BE ABLE TO - Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Measure and mark metal components according to specifications
- Operate welding tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- MUST HAVE YOUR OWN “WELDING GEAR”
- Inspect and test welded parts to ensure quality and accuracy
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
Compensation:
The compensation for this position will be based on experience.
Qualifications:
- MUST be a Certified Welder with at least 3-5 years of experience
- Certification & Experience must be ABLE TO verify
- Valid welding certification from an accredited institution.
- Must have experience with arc, MIG, TIG, and spot-welding techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills – MUST speak & understand English or be Bilingual
- Must be able to work on-site in Portsmouth, VA
- Day shift (7am Start Time) with the chance for Over Time (MUST BE WILLING TO WORK EXTRA HOURS IF IT IS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE TASK AT HAND)
Location & Details of Employment:
This is an on-location job MUST BE LOCAL: (In Portsmouth, Norfolk VA area)
- WILL REQUIRE reliable transportation.
- Hours: 7am – 4pm (If you are not early, then you are late)
- MUST HAVE: (must have your own PPE)
