JOB DESCRIPTION
The Product Development Engineer is the primary sales resource for our customers. They are responsible for working collaboratively with our customers as a technical advisor and product advocate. The PDE must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all commercial and technical projects to assure complete customer satisfaction.

2 years of college curriculum in an engineering field required; 4 year degree preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires frequent use of hands, minimal fumes, minimal noise, minimal lifting, close/color vision, bending and stooping, remaining seated most of the time

MAJOR DUTIES
- Understands customer needs
- Research Accounts
- Identifies key players and generates interest in P1 Technologies product and services
- Source new sales leads through
- Inbound lead follow-up
- Outbound cold calls and emails
- Industry Networking
- Trade Shows
- Customer visits
- Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas
- Sales – by assigned territory
- Quoted Sales - new and legacy business
- New Accounts – first-time account
- Account Reviews – Top 100 customers
- Use Consultative Selling Techniques
- Sales Engineering Duties
- Work on new product development
- Coordinate projects between P1 Technologies and Customer
- Submit Engineering Change Orders, including customer-initiated changes, for processing
- Issue Bills of Material for new products and make changes to existing Bill of Materials
- Understand and follow quality-related standards and documentation (ISO 9001 and ISO 13485)
- Order Processing
- Product Price – create customer quote-based customer requirements
- Assist Customer Service with – Billing, Pricing, Shipping, and Returns -
- Determine appropriate action using documented process
- Expedite orders in coordination with the production manager
- Maintain organized and structed work environment
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong phone presence and experience dialing 10-15 calls per day
- Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proven sales experience selling custom manufactured products to OEM Clients within the Medical industry
