About the Role
As a Sales Associate, you will focus on low voltage installations, specializing in Building Automation and HVAC controls. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and growing the customer base, preparing proposals, and working closely with internal teams on large-scale projects. Whether you're an experienced professional or a motivated individual ready to be trained, this position provides the tools and support needed to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a customer base in the assigned territory.
- Develop new business opportunities and establish strong client relationships.
- Review technical plans, specifications, and relevant documents.
- Prepare formal proposals and cost estimates tailored to project requirements.
- Collaborate with vendors to obtain material quotes.
- Partner with the internal estimating team to support large-scale projects.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related HVAC controls field.
- Desired: 2 years of experience in Sales or Engineering roles.
- Knowledge of automation systems, HVAC mechanical systems, electrical concepts, and building controls is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently interact with customers.
- Comfort with cold calling and lead generation is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Bluebeam software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with Low Voltage systems and Controls.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
