Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Commercial Electrician Apprentice in the Northern VA area, to join our team. In this role, you will assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings. Responsibilities:
- Assist electricians in installing and wiring electrical systems, fixtures, outlets, lighting, and equipment according to local electrical codes.
- Conduct maintenance on electrical systems to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Perform troubleshooting tasks to diagnose and resolve electrical issues under guidance.
- Follow safety protocols and help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Use and maintain tools, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Complete administrative tasks, including logging daily work activities and completing paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to learn and comply with industry regulations, codes, and standards.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems or coursework in electrical trade preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various environments.
