Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Security Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems, including alarms, card access control systems, CCTV, and intercoms.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and test security alarm systems, card access controls, CCTV cameras, and intercom systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure all systems operate effectively and meet client expectations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine proper installation methods.
- Run wiring and cables, ensuring all installations comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Program and calibrate security devices and systems to customer specifications.
- Provide on-site customer training and support on system operation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to complete projects on schedule.
- Stay updated on the latest security technology trends and product offerings.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in security system installation, including alarms, access controls, CCTV, and intercoms.
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage wiring, electrical systems, and networking principles.
- Familiarity with industry standards and local regulations for security systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and software for system programming.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Certifications (Not Mandatory)
- NICET Certification in Fire Alarm or Security Systems.
- Manufacturer certifications for specific security system brands.
- OSHA 10/30 certification.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces, rooftops, and outdoors.
