We are currently hiring for a Certified Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector in Cornelius, NC. As a Certified Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector you will be responsible for ensuring that fire protection systems comply with national, state, and local fire codes and regulations. You will conduct inspections, tests, and maintenance of fire alarm and sprinkler systems to help protect lives and property from fire hazards. Pay is $33 - $45 per hour based on skill set and experience
Certified Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of fire alarm and sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings, deficiencies, and recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their fire protection needs and provide expert advice on system enhancements and compliance requirements.
- Stay updated on the latest fire protection technology, codes, and industry best practices to offer the best solutions to our clients.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire alarm and sprinkler systems as needed.
- Provide training and support to clients and staff on fire safety practices and system operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and training sessions.
- Respond promptly to service requests and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and services performed.
- Uphold a strong commitment to safety and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Certified Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector (NICET Level II or equivalent).
- 3 years proven experience in inspecting and testing fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, local fire codes).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using inspection and testing equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
