Job Description:
Skillforce is seeking experienced Industrial & Commercial Electricians for ongoing local projects in Memphis, TN. This position offers steady work (40-50 hours per week), competitive pay, and the potential for contract-to-hire. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial or commercial electrical work, with experience in cable tray installation, wire pulling, equipment installation, and lighting fixture installation.
Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain industrial and commercial electrical systems.
Perform cable tray installation and organize electrical pathways according to project specs.
Pull and route low-voltage and high-voltage wiring through conduit and cable trays.
Install and troubleshoot electrical equipment, panels, and control systems.
Install and wire lighting fixtures, receptacles, and switches per blueprint specifications.
Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), OSHA, and Skillforce safety standards.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
Use appropriate tools and equipment, including conduit benders, testers, and hand tools.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience
Experience with cable tray installation, wire pulling, equipment installation, and lighting fixture install
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
Must have reliable transportation and basic hand tools
Ability to work 40-50 hours per week as needed
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA 10 or 30 certification
Journeyman Electrician License (preferred but not required)
Experience with control panels, PLCs, or automation systems
