Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanics to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis in Clarksville, TN. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-known mechanical contractor on a variety of commercial projects, including new construction and renovations! The anticipated work schedule is Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week with the potential for overtime!
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal ductwork for commercial HVAC systems.
- Measure and cut materials to meet project specifications.
- Install and fasten ducts, vents, and other sheet metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with building codes.
- Collaborate with team members and other trades on-site to ensure project deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a sheet metal mechanic in commercial settings.
- Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing sheet metal ductwork.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Own basic hand tools and PPE.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
