As an Orbital Welder you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by performing high-quality orbital welding on various materials in order to produce reliable and safe components. The ideal Orbital Welder candidate will have extensive experience in orbital welding techniques, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards. Pay is $30 - $36 per hour based on skill set and experience.
Orbital Welder Responsibilities:
- Perform orbital welding on various materials, including stainless steel, titanium, and other alloys, adhering to project specifications.
- Operate and maintain orbital welding machines, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Analyze engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements and welding procedures.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and other welding personnel to resolve issues and optimize welding processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Accurately record work performed, including welding parameters and inspection results.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of welding.
Orbital Welder Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Technical or vocational training in welding preferred
- 3 years proven experience as an Orbital Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Certification in orbital welding techniques and related processes (e.g., TIG welding)
- Strong knowledge of welding safety standards and practices
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
