Skillforce is seeking an experienced Plumbing Superintendent for a contract to permanent position!
This role involves supervising and directing plumbers, ensuring work meets company and industry standards, and managing project planning, estimating, and execution. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in commercial plumbing installations, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Plumbing Superintendent Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide direction to plumbers and subcontractors on commercial plumbing installation projects.
- Review completed work to ensure compliance with company standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Plan and coordinate plumbing installations, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Assist in estimating project costs, material requirements, and labor needs.
- Work closely with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics to guide plumbing installations.
- Conduct quality control checks and resolve any installation or compliance issues.
- Train and mentor team members to maintain high standards of workmanship and efficiency.
- Enforce job site safety practices and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Manage job site logistics, including material deliveries and workforce scheduling.
- Provide progress updates to stakeholders and assist in resolving project challenges.
Plumbing Superintendent Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial plumbing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with plumbing estimating, job costing, and project planning.
- OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
