Position Summary
Safe excavation of trenches for installations with an assigned team. You will be operating equipment to assist in the installation of water wells, geothermal systems, cleanup of sites after work is completed, preparation of site for drill rigs, and maintenance of equipment used to perform well enhancements on water wells to improve efficiency.
Duties
- Load equipment for transport to and/from jobsites per Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in accordance with company policies and other safety regulations.
- Perform safe trenching per OSHA regulations for installations at jobsites.
- Sort earth products for clean backfilling.
- Move earth to and from jobsites.
- Ensure jobsites are always kept clean and safe while work is conducted.
- Identify and mitigate any potential hazards onsite during installations.
- Clean job sites after work is completed including but not limited to raking, shoveling, picking up and removing unwanted earth materials such as brush, stumps, etc.
- Assess and evaluate well conditions to determine the appropriate hydrofracking methods.
- Operate and maintain hydrofracking equipment safely and effectively.
- Monitor pressure and flow rates during the hydrofracking process.
- Conduct post-hydrofracking tests to verify improved water yield.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures, results, and equipment maintenance.
- Keep equipment clean and properly maintained.
- Other duties as assigned by Service Manager and/or Upper Management.
Qualifications
- Two (2) years' Excavation experience.
- Hydrofracking experience preferred but will train.
- Maintain a valid CDL-A Driver’s License.
- Obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card (Federal Motor Carrier requirements--paid by Employer).
- Maintain a good driving record (needs to be covered by Employer’s general liability insurance).
- MA Hoisting License with 1B & 2A endorsements.
- OSHA 10-hour minimum, 30-hour preferred.
