RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Product Strategy: Define and drive the long-term strategy for business analytics features across our products, aligning them with broader business goals and objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with senior business leaders, data teams, and engineering to define high-level product requirements, ensure alignment with company objectives, and guide the product vision for analytics-related features.
- Backlog Ownership: Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring that user stories are prioritized based on business value, technical feasibility, and alignment with the overall product roadmap. Focus on creating impactful, data-driven features and enhancements.
- Data-Driven Product Decisions: Leverage advanced business analytics, KPIs, and market data to influence product development decisions, identify opportunities for optimization, and ensure our products are delivering measurable business impact.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with engineering, design, and other teams to drive the successful development and deployment of analytics-focused features, ensuring that they meet business needs, user expectations, and quality standards.
- Roadmap Development: Lead the creation and ongoing management of the product roadmap, ensuring analytics features are integrated into the broader product strategy and timelines.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products, and use this knowledge to shape the product direction and ensure we remain ahead of the curve.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor team members, offering guidance on best practices, business analysis techniques, and product ownership methodologies. Act as a subject matter expert in business analytics and reporting features.
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field or equivalent experience is a bonus.
- 5 years of experience in a product ownership, product management, or business analyst role with a strong focus on software development, business analytics, or data-driven products.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, data analytics, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar). Experience working closely with engineering teams to build technical solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of business analytics, data visualization, KPIs, and reporting metrics. Ability to leverage data insights to inform product decisions and drive business outcomes.
- Proven experience in leading product teams through agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), with a focus on iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, and drive consensus on complex product decisions. Strong experience managing product roadmaps and aligning multiple teams on shared goals.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in solving complex problems, particularly around data, business intelligence, and product performance.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data analytics services.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages for data analysis
- Experience with product management tools like Jira, Confluence, Aha!, or similar.
- Ability to help define and document workflow processes for new team partnerships.
