Description
We are seeking a dedicated Community Services Director to oversee and manage our community programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health, program development, budgeting, and supervising staff. As a Community Services Director, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.
The Community Services Director is responsible for administrative oversight, the regulatory compliance and daily operation of community programs. Assures that program services provide for the health, welfare and safety of the individuals we support.
The Director of the Adult Training Facility directs, supervises, plans, and coordinates the work of assigned employees and ensures compliance with company and department policies and procedures. The director provides the support and assistance to individuals with disabilities so they can achieve those skills necessary to live independently within the community and to create conditions within the facility to facilitate growth and self-awareness. He/she oversees the safety of the physical environment and addresses concerns in a timely manner; demonstrates knowledge of regulations by maintaining compliance with regulations within the site; participates in annual inspections of the facility; develops a Plan of Correction to address the results of inspection. Provides direct care in a backup role if necessary; participates in Individual Program Plan meetings and other team meetings; completes periodic physical site inspections; assists in obtaining and documenting necessary bids prior to purchasing items over designated amounts when requested; provides supervision to facility staff within assigned programs. The Director will also be responsible for evaluating the job performance of assigned employees, counseling, disciplining, and recommending discharges of assigned employees, when necessary, as well as ensuring staffing patterns and/or schedules for assigned employees is in accordance with individual's needs. Must be willing to become a certified investigator and assist with training as needed. Must have knowledge of PA state/county intellectual disability system. Must be familiar with Individuals Support Plans and must be familiar with principles of Everyday Lives.
Duties:
- Develop and implement community programs to support individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Supervise program staff (Managers, Program Specialists and Direct Support Professionals) and provide guidance and support.
- Manage program budgets effectively.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
- Oversee program operations and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure program success.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Therapeutic Recreation, Developmental Disabilities or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years in a supervisory position within the developmental disabilities and/or human service industry.
- Knowledge of PA state/county intellectual disabilities and system.
- Proven experience in program management and development.
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Salary : $64,000 - $79,000
