Skills of Central, Pa is a large organization in the York/Adams Counties area supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. We are fast-paced, fun and rewarding and we are looking to hire an LPN! This position would be based in York but will provide services in York and Hanover. This position is based on a standard 8a-4p work week (M-F); however, nurses are required to be on a call rotation for the residential homes they support including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Our nurses have also been assisting Direct Support Professionals in our residential homes providing direct care and support.
Responsibilities:
Our LPNs provide a day-to-day variety of nursing services and care to the people we support by using and maintaining established nursing objectives and standards, adhering to current nursing law. They Implement and evaluate preventive treatments respecting the rights of the people we support. Candidate must be flexible, a team player and able to take direction and follow through on the coordination of medical care for the folks that we support. Effective written and verbal communications skills are necessary to be successful in this role; administrative experience preferred.
- Assess the individual's health and vital signs.
- May administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by a physician.
- Establish protocols based on a physician or practitioner's orders and ensure staff comply with protocols.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to the individual and families.
- Provide education to the individual and their families about the individual's medical condition.
- Provide education and guidance to the direct support staff who support the individual on a daily basis.
- Gather, document and monitor the individual's health and information.

Requirements
- PA LPN license required
- Valid PA Driver's license
- Post-Offer physical and drug screen required
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental preferred but not required
