Skills of Central PA is currently seeking a Team Leader Maintenance to work in Blair County area PA. The Team Leader-Maintenance Services directs assigned staff on a daily basis ensuring quality of service. This is a supervisory position that requires multi-tasking, flexibility and the willingness to be trained to meet the program needs.
This position leads the maintenance work team on a daily basis relative to scheduling routine maintenance service and repairs of buildings, equipment, furniture, and company vehicles. Maintains a safe living environment within residential homes.; personnel responsibilities including completing and approving staff time sheets, scheduling staff and completing and participating in staff performance evaluations. Scheduled shift is typically Mon thru Fri 8a to 4p but can vary based on the needs of the program. The Team Leader position does require on-call responsibilities for evenings and weekends.
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs necessary repairs and renovations to sites and equipment, as needed.
- Assesses safety of physical environment of each site on a continual basis and addresses concerns in a timely manner.
- Completes monthly safety inspections, in consultation with supervisory personnel and eliminates hazardous conditions noted in safety inspection.
- Purchases maintenance tools, equipment and supplies in accordance with procedures.
- Assesses and addresses household and grounds maintenance needs.
- Communicates maintenance needs to appropriate personnel and takes required follow-up action.
- Advises and ensures routine maintenance for mechanical and site equipment.
- Ensures completion of yearly heating and/or air conditioning maintenance and cleaning.
- Assists with or schedules the removal of snow and ice from sidewalks and driveways.
- Purchases maintenance tools, equipment and supplies in accordance with procedures.
- Orients new employees as assigned.
- Identifies and communicates personnel issues to management as needed.
- Completes and submits monthly mileage reports.
- Completes or schedules necessary vehicle maintenance and/or repairs, and inspects repairs upon return of the vehicle.
- Schedules and ensures the completion of any necessary cleaning (interior and exterior) for all vehicles.
- Assists in monitoring maintenance expenses of assigned sites.
- Assists in the selection of cost-efficient contractors to complete necessary maintenance.
- Assists with obtaining and documenting necessary bids prior to purchasing items.
- Calls in applicable on-the-job accident information to the workers’ compensation insurance carrier and completes accident reporting and investigation forms.
- Assists in orienting assigned work team to the day-to-day operations.
- Attendance is required in the workplace to perform the essential duties of this position.

About the Requirements
There are a few simple requirements you’ll need for the position:
- 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 years working directly with individuals who require specialized services is preferred.
- Prior supervisory also preferred.
- Valid driver’s license
- Eligible to work in the United States
