- Perform patient intake, escort patients to exam rooms, and document intake details in the EHR.
- Conduct suture removals, wound checks, and administer narrowband UVB light therapy following provider instructions.
- Manage tasks such as handling faxes, uploading lab results, submitting prior authorizations, and filling in-house prescriptions.
- Keep exam rooms stocked, maintain instruments, complete instrument sterilization as required
- Recognize when to involve a provider for patient concerns.
- Support providers during patient visits by documenting notes accurately and assisting during procedures or surgeries.
- Perform bandaging when needed and review care instructions with patients
- Send prescriptions and communicate pathology results as needed.
- Address clinical questions from patients regarding wound care, medications, and other medical concerns.
- Triage inquiries appropriately, escalating to the provider when necessary.
- Maintain stocked exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and support general clinical tasks.
- Provide patient instructions as directed by dermatologists and physician assistants.
- Demonstrate flexibility by rotating between roles based on clinic needs.
- Participate actively in ongoing training, with an emphasis on continuous learning and asking questions to ensure competence and confidence in all roles.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge
- Healthcare field and preference for dermatology experience
- Medical terminology
- Grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Knowledge of EHRs

Schedule:
- Full-Time, 40 hours/week.
- Shifts are four 10 hour days, from 7:30am-6pm with a 30-minute lunch. Day off each can vary based on clinic needs. We are closed on weekends.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- 1 years Medical office experience preferred
- All employees have a responsibility to comply with our organization’s policies and procedures and code of conduct.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand or sit at a desk for 8 hours each day
- Prolonged periods working on a computer
- Lift up to 15 lbs as needed, not a frequent occurrence.
