Job Summary
We are seeking an Advisory Manager to join our Mesa office who is organized, detail oriented, flexible, motivated and has a professional demeanor and presentation. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Accountant that possesses small company/multi-entity accounting management experience. As an Advisory Manger, you will be responsible for a variety of client assignments in various industries and service areas. You’ll utilize your accounting background to provide excellent client service to help our clients reach their goals. For the right professional, this position has the potential to transition to a hybrid role after a reasonable length of service.
General Accountabilities
- Provide exceptional accounting and operational service to our clients
- Proactively identify client issues, communicate and implement timely solutions
- Build trusted advisor relationship with client executives by gaining an in-depth understanding of their business objectives and management needs
- Support a variety of accounting functions for clients including supervising transactional processing, account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and long-range financial plans
- Analyze financial data to identify trend, variances and opportunities for improvements
- Monitors, reviews, verifies and analyzes accounting records, transactions and financial statements for accuracy, timeliness and adequacy of supporting documentation
- Ensures compliance with internal policies, agency rules and regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles
- Assist with managing department and team of advisory associates and interns
- Supervise preparation of adjusting journal entries for clients as needed
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA or CMA preferred
- 10 years of continuous experience in accounting
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Willingness and ability to work extra hours during busy times of the year
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients at all levels of an organization while providing accounting support and training
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as needed
