Compensation: $40,000 - $55,000 annually Benefits
Skinner Transfer Corp is seeking an experienced Customer Account Representative to drive solutions, creatively tackle challenges, and advocate for our freight clients. As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring successful execution of shipments across all transportation modes including TL, LTL, etc.
In this role, you'll go above and beyond customer expectations by proactively managing shipments, resolving issues, and maintaining strong client relationships. You’ll also work closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, monitor account health, and execute strategies that promote growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Shipments: Oversee scheduling, booking, and tracking shipments to completion across all modes of transportation.
- Client Advocacy: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction.
- Problem Solving: Tackle challenges head-on and find innovative solutions to improve processes and outcomes.
- Request Additional Freight: Collaborate with Load Planners to proactively request more freight from customers when necessary to meet demand or optimize capacity.
- Timely Communication: Ensure clear and prompt communication with Load Planners regarding any changes in customer load requirements, including modifications to existing shipments or adjustments to volume.

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a business services environment (preferably in logistics or transportation)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
- Solid understanding of transportation modes (TL, LTL, etc.)
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
