THE ROLE : Junior Mechatronics Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable individual who will explore the peaks and valleys of all problems that may come up while building a new generation of wearable robots for everyday life.
You’ll work as the person in charge of making sure things do the things they were designed for on our 10-person team, and in collaboration with our other MEs, EE and SWEs, you'll be responsible for improving the reliability and accelerating the general development of a new consumer robotics platform.
Some of the specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Design, build and run test-rigs for mechanical parts, for example a dyno set up for actuator testing, full leg systems for looking at structural fatigue over many cycles etc.
- Design, build and run electronic test fixtures , e.g. factory validation testing and HIL
- Suggest and build diagnostics
- Basic lab management, including helping coordinate part shipping, keeping space clean, safe and functional
- Wearing prototypes several hours a week to participate in data collection, on-body testing and provide feedback
- Travel to vendors to help them implement assembly processes
- Bring joy to the team, participate in embarrassing team events, tolerate KZ’s terrible music choices
