Join Our Team as a Mobile App / Frontend Software Engineer!

Founded in 2023 and emerging from Google X, Skip is a dynamic 10-person startup poised to launch the revolutionary MO / GO wearable robotic device—transforming the mobility of millions.
Your Role :
We seek a motivated leader ready to tackle challenges while forging the future of wearable robotics. As a part of our compact software team, you will collaborate with senior engineers, taking charge of our software’s frontend development and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Work alongside senior software engineers on a complete software stack for an award-winning consumer product, requiring majority in-person work at our office in San Francisco.
- Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications that enhance functionality for broader use cases.
- Create a user-friendly internal GUI for engineering teams to control and fine-tune robotic prototypes, focusing on usability and speed.
- Implement data management features , ensuring scalable processing for product readiness.
- Develop tools for visualizing and exporting data logs for performance analysis.
- Design a secure authentication workflow for user data management and access control.
- Maintain clean, scalable code for the GUI, ensuring a smooth user experience.
- Integrate with backend services and databases for data storage and retrieval.
- Conduct performance testing and optimize the GUI, especially for data-intensive functions.
- Document processes and user workflows to ensure clarity for future developments.
- Engage in hands-on testing by wearing prototypes regularly to gather feedback.
- Enhance our software development practices through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Bring a positive spirit to the team, participating in team-building activities.

This full-time position requires working approximately 3 days a week in our San Francisco office, starting between March and April 2025.
