Sales and Project Manager
Skips Wastewater Services is the leading full-service wastewater provider specializing in septic tank and grease trap pumping, septic system repairs and installations, septic inspections, and more. We are committed to protecting the environment by ensuring the proper health of wastewater disposal systems through maintenance and education.

We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Sales and Project Manager to oversee septic system installations and major repairs while also driving new business and managing customer relationships. The ideal candidate will combine construction management experience with strong sales skills, leadership, and technical expertise. This is a hands-on, field-oriented role that demands an individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, is skilled at building relationships, and is committed to delivering quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for new and existing customers, handling sales inquiries and providing proposals for septic system installations and major repairs.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build long-term relationships with customers, and ensure repeat business.
  • Provide accurate estimates and negotiate contracts, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to project execution.

Project Management & Design:

  • Oversee and manage septic system installations and major repairs from start to finish, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budget, and quality specifications.
  • Design and develop septic system plans tailored to specific site conditions and customer requirements.
  • Lead, manage, and schedule construction crews, subcontractors, and field staff to ensure productivity, safety, and timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate with health departments to schedule various inspections.
  • Manage multiple projects at different stages, ensuring all project requirements are met.
  • Foster strong working relationships with customers, subcontractors, and health department inspectors.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the main contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain high customer retention rates by delivering excellent service and ensuring projects are completed according to customer expectations.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in the construction industry (field manager, foreman, project manager, or similar roles).
  • Proven experience in sales, with the ability to sell construction services, generate leads, and close deals.
  • Experience managing construction crews, meeting project deadlines, and staying within budget.
  • Familiarity with managing subcontractors and handling inspections.
  • Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously, ideally at various stages.
  • Experience in designing septic system plans and understanding of the required technical aspects for successful implementation.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar).
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with material takeoffs and procurement.
  • Ability to read and understand health codes, building codes, and other relevant regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically fit, with the ability to lift, climb, shovel, and perform basic jobsite tasks as needed.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Drug-free, with no tolerance for substance abuse during working hours.

Work Hours:

  • 6:30 AM start time.
  • 50 hours per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
