What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping position at SKLD Livonia?
$13.00/hour. Part Time every other weekend!
The Housekeeper plays a critical role in providing superior customer service and housekeeping services to all Residents in the facility. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining environmental and infection control standards by performing a variety of general cleaning tasks.
Essential Functions
- Cleans and sanitizes Resident rooms, offices, hallways, and other areas inside the facility as well as outside upon request.
- May operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, and related housekeeping equipment
- Cleans vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes, and other high areas using a ladder.
- Performs deep cleaning procedures of Resident rooms and prepares rooms for new occupants.
- Assures that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained at all times.
- Must answer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in Resident care areas.
- Assist with new admissions, re-admissions, and assist with the transfer of Residents to different rooms within the facility.
- Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with Residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
Required/Desired Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- One year of experience in a housekeeping role preferred.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of Residents.
- Sufficient ability to read, write, and speak to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
