Job Summary:
The Intervention Specialist provides instruction to Culturally and Linguisticall Diverse students (CLDS) at varying proficiency levels, as well as support general education teachers and other interventionists. This teacher coordinates language screenings for incoming EL students, work closely with bilingual paraprofessionals and Family Liaisons, and provides expertise in both core and supplemental EL programs for students. Candidates should have experience working with diverse students and building home-school connection with non-native speaking famiilies. This teaching position requires a solid foundation in EL strategies and instruction, including accommodation, modification, and supporting core curriculum. The ability to use data based decision making to identify needs, create goals, and evaluate progress is expected.
Qualifications:

- Illinois Teaching License with English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement, required
- Fluency in a second language, preferrred
