Emily Oaks Nature Center has an opening for a Canoe Leader for 2025 Earth Adventures Summer Camp. There are perks for joining the SPD Team! Our seasonal staff are eligible for a free membership to our health club, Fitness First, free golf and a free pool pass during their seasonal employment!
Location: Emily Oaks Nature Center, Earth Adventures Summer Camp
The Canoe Leader will supervise and ensure the safety of elementary school-aged campers. Lead canoeing instruction at Emily Oaks Nature Center and other locations the camp may travel to. Coordinates and monitors daily bussing of Earth Adventures campers. Assists Directors with leadership and preparation for field trips, weekly cookouts, family nights and other duties as assigned. Maintains accurate records. Required to attend trainings and meetings as directed.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Camp begins Monday, June 09, 2025 and runs through Friday, August 1, 2025. Must be available to attend two camp family nights, specific dates to be determined. Must be available to attend camp training the week of June 2, 2025, exact dates and times to be determined. Preference will be given to applicants that are available to work both sessions of camp.
