Timeframe: September 2025 through April 2026
Schedule: 10-15 hours/week (flexible schedule TBD with library mentor)
Compensation: $15/hour and tuition credit/waiver for Fall Practicum (LIS 799) and Spring Independent Study (LIS 801)
Structure:
- Several students will experience the program as a cohort.
- Each student will be paired with a mentor from the library.
- Regular reflection meetings will be held with mentors and faculty advisors.
Focus Areas:
- Access Services – Collection development, cataloging, digitization
- Public Services – Programming, advisory, experiential learning, and information services, with options to focus on youth, teens, or adults.
- Community Engagement – Outreach and partnerships with options to focus on youth or adults.
