Skout Organic is a fast-growing organic, plant-based snack brand specializing in better-for-you kids' snack bars and soft-baked cookies. We are committed to using simple, organic ingredients to create delicious, nutrient-dense snacks for families. As we scale, we’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Supply Chain Manager to optimize our operations and ensure we maintain high-quality, cost-effective production.
We’re seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a CPG background (3-5 years) who has helped scale a company to $20M . This person will play a pivotal role in managing our transition to a new co-manufacturer and overseeing all procurement, inventory, cost management, and production quality. They will work closely with leadership to build an efficient and scalable supply chain while maintaining our commitment to high-quality organic ingredients.
- Ingredient Procurement & Supplier Management
- Source and order all ingredients, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers and co-manufacturers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure the best quality and cost efficiencies.
- Inventory & Cost Management
- Oversee inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock while optimizing cash flow.
- Develop and implement a system for tracking and forecasting ingredient needs.
- Ensure accurate cost analysis of raw materials and finished goods to maintain profitability.
- Production & Quality Oversight
- Collaborate with our new co-manufacturer to ensure seamless production.
- Manage product quality at the manufacturing facility, ensuring all standards are met.
- Work closely with operations and R&D to troubleshoot production challenges.
- Operational & Strategic Support
- Provide regular updates to leadership on supply chain performance, cost trends, and risks.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
- Support the scale-up of operations while maintaining product integrity.
- 3-5 years of supply chain experience in a CPG company, preferably with a smaller company that has scaled to $20M .
- Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and co-manufacturers.
- Experience in inventory management, procurement, and cost control.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to manage budgets and track financial impact.
- Comfortable traveling to our co-manufacturer in Georgetown, TX and working in our Austin, TX office.
