Job Responsibilities:
- Attend/collaborate with team during daily production meetings.
- Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate with estimators and parts associates to obtain necessary parts.
- Assess vehicle condition to determine if additional safety or repair work is needed.
- Perform al body repairs according to estimate.
- Perform welding, soldering, body alignment, and frame/unibody repairs.
- Inspect all work performed as a Quality Control (QC) measure as soon as jobs are completed.
- Mix all chemicals according to manufacturer directions/specifications.
- Understand and abide by all federal, state, and local regulations that affect Collision Center operations - such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA guidelines.
- Gain superior product knowledge to provide high quality repairs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 year service technician experience or the equivalent in related fields preferred.
- Willing and able to spend extended periods of time standing, stooping, crawling, and bending.
- Must furnish own hand/shop tools.
- Certification from college or technical school in trade field preferred, but applicable work experience would also be considered.
- ICAR certification (preferred ) or interest to become certified.
- OEM Certification (preferred) or interest to become certified.
- Must have a valid in-state driver's license with an acceptable, safe driving record.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
