What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Client Service Representative position at Sky Canyon Veterinary Hospital?
Sky Canyon Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA-accredited general practice and referral veterinary hospital for companion animals.
We are looking for a highly qualified Veterinary CSR who will assist in delivering excellent care and customer service to all patients and clients as they work cohesively within our team. Our CSR team is the face of the practice; they create a genuine and lasting connection with clients and their pets and manage hospital flow.
Our ideal candidate is a team player, an ultimate multitasker, and efficient at scheduling and taking phone calls while maintaining a professional and compassionate attitude.
Duties:
- Help new clients complete registration and notify them of expected wait times.
- Educate clients and answer non-medical inquiries.
- Respond to calls, take messages, and transfer calls as needed to maintain client relationships and service standards. Also, regularly monitor email, texts, and voicemails.
- Schedule appointments, including in-office diagnostics, and communicate with referring hospital staff to access patient records. Create appointment reminders and reschedule missed appointments.
- Maintains computer records with up-to-date client and patient data and verifies each patient entering the hospital.
- Maintaining the front desk, reception area, waiting areas, and exam rooms neatly and cleanly.
- Ensures financial responsibilities are met and reviews charges for services upon completion or discharge, ensuring accurate reconciliation of cash drawer with computer-generated reporting.
- Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.

- Customer service experience and/or one year experience in veterinary medicine are required.
