Position Summary:
The Manager on Duty provides support and leadership to all departments by managing and executing staffing plans, operations policies, company standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Directly oversees the daily operations of the attraction, including but not limited to: Ticketing, Retail, Pre-Show Experience, Ride Experience, and Facility Operations.
Acts as attraction and facility Manager on Duty in absence of General Manager or Assistant Manager.
Conducts shift meetings with Rides staff and informs staff of daily events, groups, specials, sales goals, and operational opportunities.
Oversees each Departments schedules. Performs time audits, verifies hours, and takes action to minimize overtime.
Develop a daily plan to ensure breaks are provided daily following employment laws.
Prepares and reconciles daily deposits and takes cash and check deposits to the bank.
Prepares, pulls, and reconciles tills.
Reviews Ticket Seller over and short report daily.
Provides training and ongoing support to staff as needed.
Ensures proper staffing levels are always maintained.
Leads team and reviews quality of work, makes recommendations, and helps as needed.
Maintains operational, safety, cleanliness, and guest service standards.
Interacts with guests to ensure the departments are operating at the highest of standards.
Resolves guest complaints.
Assist guests in the event of illness or injury.
Assumes a leadership role in case of emergencies such as power outages, inclement weather, and ride incidents.
Communicates any mechanical issues to the Maintenance staff.
Works with the Chief Ride Operator and Maintenance Staff in the event of ride evacuation.
Perform duties as needed to support the business.
Ensures all handbook policies and procedures are followed by all staff.
Assist the General Manager with developing and executing operational duties and responsibilities as needed.
Selects candidates, performs interviews, orientation, and training in all departments.
Evaluates staff and makes recommendations for performance evaluations, disciplinary action and/or termination.
Follows all handbook policies.
Other duties, as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) years supervisory/management experience in the field of entertainment, tourism or hospitality preferred.
Strong computer skills required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Ticket Sellers, Greeters, Show Attendants, Chief Ride Operators, Trainers.
