Sky Harbor Shuttle is looking for caring and compassionate individuals to fill the role of Non Emergency Medical Transport Driver with our team. We are a growing and thriving Non-Emergency Medical Transport service that has been serving the residents of Washington state since 2016!
Drivers will be assigned a company vehicle for transporting clients. This position serves the residents of Yakima County. Potential drivers need to be residents of Yakima County, WA or willing to relocate to Yakima County, WA in order to fulfill contract location requirements.
As an NEMT Driver, you will carry out the following responsibilities:
- Transport passengers to and from medical appointments.
- Assist ambulatory and wheelchair bound passengers in loading and unloading.
- Maintain communication with Dispatch.
- Carry out regular checks of the vehicle before and after each day’s run.
- Obey all traffic rules and regulations guiding the operation of transport services in his/her assigned area.
- Dress in a neat and professional manner and maintain an above average level of customer service.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in highly demanding environment.
- Able to multitask and prioritize effectively while maintaining composure.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving history is necessary (required)
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen for all substances (including Marijuana) pursuant to federal Department of Transportation regulations regarding safety-sensitive driving positions.
- Hands-on experience driving shuttles or any kind of car – sedan, limo or bus is preferred.
- Wheelchair lift operation experience is a plus!
- Be willing to work flexible shifts including Saturdays.
- Must have a smart phone (stipend provided)
- Be able to pass a background check.
- Have a satisfactory driving record and be able to provide a 5-year driving abstract from the Department of Licensing (DOL).
- Must be 23 years old or older for commercial insurance coverage
