Greenhouse Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy outdoor work and have a passion for growing. The Assistant will support various tasks related to plant care, plant maintenance, and plant management while ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.

Duties
- Assist Operations Manager in the maintenance and care of plants and day to day operations.
- Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment to perform various tasks.
- Identify different plant species and provide appropriate care based on their needs.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required for planting, moving materials, or equipment.
- Participate in growing plants from seeds or cuttings, ensuring proper techniques are followed.
- Maintain good communications skills.
- Apply basic math skills for measuring areas, calculating quantities of materials needed, measurables, and other related tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications
- Excellent communications skills.
- Good customer services.
- Familiarity with plant care practices and landscape maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed throughout the workday.
- Knowledge of plant identification to ensure proper care and maintenance of various species.
- A passion for outdoor work and gardening is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills are necessary for measuring and calculating material requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
