POSITION: Director of Member Engagement
REPORTS TO: CEO
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt. $30,000 per year plus commission.
Purpose: Effectively market and promote Partnership membership to do a minimum of two of the following: a) make us funds, b) make us friends, or (c) make us famous.
Organization Overview:
The Sky Islands Regional Partnership is a membership-driven organization representing businesses and communities throughout Southern Arizona. As a non-partisan entity, we focus on creating a positive business environment that fosters prosperity for our communities. We engage in a wide variety of issues, including local and state legislation, workforce development, economic expansion, and leadership initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Membership Growth & Retention:
- Develop and implement a strategic membership sales plan to meet monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Design and execute member retention strategies in alignment with the Partnership’s strategic goals.
- Cultivate relationships with existing and potential members, ensuring a high level of engagement and satisfaction.
- Implement membership upgrade initiatives to achieve sales targets.
- Manage non-dues revenue strategies, including advertising sales.
· Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with staff and volunteers to facilitate seamless integration for new members.
- Collaborate with the Director of Community Engagement on event planning and member communications.
- Partner with the CEO to forecast membership renewals and revenue projections.
- Regularly interact with members through phone, email, and in-person meetings to promote membership benefits and engagement.
· Data Management & Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and timely updates to the CRM system, maintaining member records and tracking engagement activities.
- Monitor and report on membership retention metrics and suggest improvements.
- Oversee the renewal process, including invoicing, follow-up on overdue payments, and sending thank you cards to new members and renewals.
· Event & Sponsorship Coordination:
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for sponsorships, event venues, and strategic partnerships.
- Actively participate in the planning and execution of Partnership programs and events.
Supportive Duties:
- Assist at the reception desk as needed.
- Provide project support to other team members as required.

Qualifications:
· Required:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of successful sales management experience, with a focus on member retention.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Reliable transportation for travel within Southern Arizona.
· Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with volunteer committees or in a membership-driven nonprofit environment.
- Familiarity with Chamber Nation or similar CRM software.
Physical Requirements:
The Director of Member Engagement must be able to effectively communicate with members and colleagues via phone, email, and in-person. The role requires the ability to present information to individuals and groups, as well as to hear, speak, and see clearly in order to engage with others.
