What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aviation Safety Inspector position at Sky Jet Services?
We have immediate openings for Aviation Safety Inspector in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will inspect aircraft and components, reviewing paperwork to ensure that workmanship meets quality standards and customer aircraft are returned to service in an airworthy condition, with all required documentation completed and filed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough primary and receiving inspections.
- Audit work packages to ensure proper completion and documentation.
- Conduct continuity inspections to verify that repaired items are properly completed.
- Write up discrepancies and research technical data as needed.
- Interpret blueprints and technical data accurately.
- Adhere to safety procedures at all times.
- Take actions to preserve company or customer assets.
- Attend work-related training and perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
- 5 years’ experience in large transport aircraft maintenance.
- 20/25 near vision in at least one eye (corrected or uncorrected).
- Familiar with FAA Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Able to work both 1st and 2nd shifts, with at least 50 hours per week.
- Familiarity with GenFams B777, B787, B757, B767, MD11, B737-800/900/Max (excluding B737-300/400).
- Strong English communication skills (read, write, speak).
