What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Sky Lake RV Resort?
Sky Lake Resort Maintenance Technicians perform routine and preventative maintenance to maintain the physical integrity of Sky Lake RV Resort. They conduct building, site maintenance repairs and are responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of property grounds, facilities, streets, equipment and various utility systems. Maintenance Technicians provide excellent customer service to prospective, current guests and residents at all times. You may assist with site setups to ensure timely arrivals and departures of resort guests and residents. The position is part time but can become a full-time position in the future.
Your job will include:
· Regularly treat for weeds, weed whips, rake leaves, plant flowers/shrubs, spread mulch/woodchips/stones, trims shrubs and hedges, cuts down and removes tree limbs damaged by adverse weather conditions, cut grass and performs other lawn care services as necessary
· Completes minor repairs to rental units and facilities as needed
· Completes routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs, plumbing, sewer, construction & street repair
· Inspects playground area and equipment, pool/spa area, and other recreational amenities to ensure everything is in good condition, making minor repairs as needed
· Ensures the resort is presentable and inviting at all times
· Ensures trash/debris is picked up daily from common areas and streets
· Removes snow from community streets, parking lots, building entrances and other areas
· Assists Resort Manager with supervision of service contractors
· Help complete various capex projects such as site upgrades, building improvements and other various land improvements
· Reports all maintenance issues and concerns that may be identified while performing daily duties to manager
· Ensures all streets and public access routes are free of hazards
· Maintains resort vehicles and equipment
· Follows safety procedures while performing duties, including safely operating vehicles when moving from site to site & picking up supplies
· Empty trash, shovel, perform maintenance or repair duties, use power equipment, drills or other hand tools
· Other duties and special projects assigned
Experience & skills you’ll need:
· High School Diploma or GED (Required)
· Valid driver’s license
· Hands on/problem-solving attitude
· 6 months previous maintenance experience preferred
· Demonstrate knowledge and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work
· Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
· General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, grounds maintenance & equipment operation
· Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
· Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
· Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
· Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
Equipment operation experience a plus (track loader, dump truck, excavator, etc.)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
