Director of Operations – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to lead the manufacturing, production, and operational excellence of our aerospace product line. This individual will be responsible for ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a true leader of people, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork. They must have a strong background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence within the aerospace or advanced manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of manufacturing, supply chain, and production operations.
- Ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Optimize plant performance, resource allocation, and process efficiencies.
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies to enhance efficiency.
- Drive waste reduction, process standardization, and automation initiatives.
- Develop and execute cost-saving and productivity improvement strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
- Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Champion workplace safety, quality assurance, and employee development.
- Align operations with company goals, customer demands, and industry trends.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives for scalability and growth.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams to optimize performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10 years in manufacturing operations, with 5 years in aerospace or high-precision industries.
- Proven leadership experience managing large teams & complex operations.
- Strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Quality Systems.
- Experience in compliance with AS9100, ISO, and FAA regulations (preferred).
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred).
