Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Hardware Design Engineer with expertise in schematic layout and new product development. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in designing and developing electrical hardware, with hands-on experience in schematic capture, PCB layout, and system-level design. Familiarity with ISO 26262, particularly in the context of functional safety in automotive applications, is essential. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable products while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical hardware for new products, including schematics, PCB layout, and component selection.
- Ensure product designs meet functional safety requirements, adhering to ISO 26262 standards.
- Collaborate with firmware and software teams to integrate electrical hardware into complete systems.
- Conduct design reviews and validation testing to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues during development and production phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in electrical hardware design, schematic layout, and new product development.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety standards.
- Proficiency with EDA tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, MentoGraphics or similar).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Must be eligible to obtain US Security Clearance and meet ITAR requirements
Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
