Aerospace Manufacturing Quality Inspector Job Summary:
This role involves conducting detailed inspections using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles, precision measuring tools, and quality assurance methodologies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and quality control techniques. They must also be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect aerospace components and assemblies at various stages of manufacturing to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and safety regulations.
- Verify product dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI) per AS9102 standards and maintain accurate inspection records.
- Prepare detailed reports for quality audits and compliance checks.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred).
- 2 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing quality inspection or a related field.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and CMM programming (preferred).
