Delivery Driver
Bring your excellent customer service skills directly to customers’ homes. Our delivery drivers load, transport, unload, and in some cases set up large items such as trees and fountains throughout the greater Seattle area. We are looking for drivers who are accurate, responsible, courteous, and up for strenuous physical work in all weather conditions. Full-time positions available.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately read invoices and pull orders exactly as specified.
- Plan efficient delivery routes
- Safely move large, bulky, heavy, and/or fragile items
- Safely drive a variety of large vehicles
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a small team
- Provide excellent customer service by delivering items in a safe, considerate, and
friendly manner
Qualifications:
- Available to work Tuesday-Saturday
- Clean driving record
- Previous experience with and/or willing to be trained in driving large vehicles
- Willing to be trained and certified in forklift operation
- Able to work well with customers and co-workers in a positive, professional manner
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take responsibility for job
assignments - Able to stand, bend, and do repetitive tasks for long periods of time
- Able to lift or move up to 100 pounds on a repetitive basis
- Familiarity with the geographical layout of the greater Seattle area
Hourly Wage Range: $21-27
Benefits include medical (including vision) and dental insurance for those working 30 hours or more after a 2-month period, and vacation pay and 401(k) matching retirement plan after 1 year of employment. And of course, all employees receive sick time, in-house continuing education, a generous Employee Assistance Program and discounts on plants and merchandise.
