Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in business or related area
Ten years of related work experience, preferably in a camp environment
Similar experience in a hospitality or ministry environment may be acceptable
Multi-site management and operational experience
In-depth understanding in the field of facility operations, logistics, customer service and hospitality, food service, etc
Proficient working knowledge and ability to use various office software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Basic internet and social media skills
Ability to effectively manage staff in areas such as : selection, development, coaching, motivation, scheduling, and performance evaluation
Ability to hire, train and motivate team members
Ability to relate positively, influentially, and sensitively to a broad spectrum of persons in a variety of multi-tiered relationships and settings to include but not limited to guests (youth and families), co-workers, peers and board members
Proven successful leadership experience; ability to build unity amongst a team and motivate them to work together toward a common mission
Excellent interpersonal skills, and relationship building skills
Ability to plan, manage, and report budgets proficiently
Exceptional financial management skills
Ability to provide strategic and logistical planning and facilitate meetings as required
Ability to prepare moderately complex reports
Ability to exercise independent thinking and initiative
Ability to deal with complex situations or issues and make effective, timely and appropriate decisions
Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task and manage a variety of tasks
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to communicate the vision of Sky Ranch to both internal and external customers
Ability to use up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects
Ability to grasp, push, pull, carry or otherwise manipulate objects; ability to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles and foot and / or hand-eye coordination
Commitment to Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally
Must be able to fully support Sky Ranch’s Doctrinal Statement
Must demonstrate annually a clear background check and review of child safety practices as required for camp accreditation by the American Camping Association

Responsibilities

Frequent travel will be necessary, especially in the first 6-12 months

This position is critical to the ministry of Sky Ranch and contributes directly to our mission of leading youth and families to know and follow Christ

The position will streamline and centralize operational functions across all Sky Ranch locations, enabling the organization to maximize efficiencies

Provide guidance, direction and supervision for all direct reports (Camp Directors and / or other operations discipline leaders); provide professional growth and development; develop and communicate goals and objectives; monitor, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback and correction; conduct annual performance and ongoing evaluation

Encourage and facilitate collaboration among Sky Ranch locations and across all disciplines

Ensure consistency across the organization, at all sites

Lead site teams to execute the Sky Ranch experience in a way that creates brand loyalty

Plan and execute best practices across Sky Ranch locations to ensure safety, camper and customer satisfaction, and efficiency

Investigate and introduce process improvements wherever possible

Ensure positive outcomes of operating and capital budgets for all assigned sites

Participate in development and execution of Sky Ranch’s vision and strategic objectives as a member of the Global Leadership Team

Maintain compliance with Sky Ranch’s employee policies and procedures

Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements

Perform other duties as necessary

Budgets for all operational departments and capital expenditures at assigned camp locations

Works indoors in normal office environment majority of the time; also works outdoors at various camp locations, in various climates

Ability to travel to various geographic locations, including travel by airplane and car; many overnight stays, including stays that occur on the weekends

Ability to travel to camp locations to serve on an interim basis, even for extended periods of time, in the absence of a Camp Director
