Position is for the Lawton, Oklahoma area.
Job Description:
As an instrument technician, you will be participating in a survey crew engaged in land surveying. You will learn and ensure proper survey equipment use and data collection during a project. You will gain the knowledge and responsibility of survey equipment and the software used to operate it. You will set up survey equipment in the field, sometimes in various weather conditions, to ensure each survey is done with proper accuracy and precision.
Responsibilities:
- Collect survey data as directed by the crew chief for all survey types.
- Communicate directly with the crew chief to better complete various tasks and responsibilities necessary for a survey.
- Walk up to 10 miles in one day while carrying equipment, if needed.
- Work in adverse weather conditions.
- Utilize necessary software and emails for job performance and communication.
- Work overtime when needed.
- Travel daily to job sites in other counties when necessary.
- Travel and stay overnight across Oklahoma as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
